The Westchester County Airport (HPN) community is invited to participate in our annual Runway Safety Action Team (RSAT) Zoom meeting on September 13th at 1500L. This discussion is intended to encourage open dialogue from both pilots and ground vehicle operators to sustain best practices and to improve safety on all HPN aeronautical surfaces.
Annual RSAT meetings are an opportunity for all airport users/stakeholders to identify and try to mitigate safety risks to runways and other movement area surfaces. The HPN ATCT will review runway incursions, operator errors and vehicle/pedestrian deviations from the prior year, and talk about the factors that led to them. All participants will then have the chance to communicate factors that may contribute to runway safety issues. This meeting is most effective with participation and collaboration from all airport users.
