Westchester Aviation Association’s 9th Annual Safety Day Symposium
June 3, 2025
We are excited to announce this year’s Safety Day symposium. It will be held on Tuesday June 3, the day before the NBAA White Plains Regional Meeting.
The full-day event will be held at Whitby Castle, 330 Boston Post Road, Rye, NY 10580.
The WAA team is developing relevant and timely program with primary emphasis on Jet and Turboprop Operations (Parts 91 and 135).
We will continue with our tradition of providing annual scholarships that are announced and awarded at Safety Day. Watch out in the coming weeks on how to apply.
We will be providing more information and opening registration in coming weeks.

Your WAA Board
The Westchester Aviation Association will hold a WAA/Air Traffic Control meeting on Monday, March 17, 2025 starting at 7PM.
This meeting will feature participation by Westchester Air Traffic Control Tower personnel. The Tower will provide information about current activities around the airport and operational issues, and will answer your questions. The meeting will also include participation by Ralph Tamburro, formerly of NY Tracon and currently responsible for air traffic issues with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Ralph will discuss current air traffic departure routings of particular interest to our corporate operators, and the situation at present involving the transfer of Newark Area air traffic control functions from NY Tracon to the PHL Tracon.
This meeting will be hybrid, both in person at the PepsiCo conference room, and online via Microsoft Teams.
For in person attendance, the meeting will be in the PepsiCo 2nd Floor conference room at Hangar V, Westchester County Airport, 150 Airport Road, White Plains, NY 10604.
Please register by no later than 5pm ET on Friday, March 14, 2025.
